DO NOT BID ON THIS! I got this from the seller a few days ago is it is FAKE SAFFRON! It is actually just safflower. You'll get a little baggy that is full of dried safflower that is nearly powder. It is not at all even remotely close to what is pictured. Do yourself a favor and do NOT bid on this. Flag the crap out of this scam artist!!

hey now i paid top dollar for saffron it isnt safflower i have both and during ship may have powdered some but i paid 550.00 an ounce gave her a table spoon

I love saffron. Yea, it is expensive when it's the real stufff. Usually in US we don't get the real stuff.

Saffron is gathered from the individual stamens of a lily type bulb, it takes thousands of these little stamens to produce a tablespoon of REAL Saffron, and each "hair like" tiny stamen is hand picked with tweezers from the center of each flower. I would love to see this person's garden, and all of the hundreds of thousands of these bulb flowers growing in abundance in their yard. It must be quite the sight. And, all of the people they must employ, to hand harvest each stamen as it's at it "ripeness"! WOW!
