My feeling is that Listia can continue to be a place where people basically swap used or low-value stuff, make friends, etc. BUT I think INK will bring a whole new crop of people to Listia who are more sophisticated and HOPEFULLY we will see more NICE items for sale, NOT sold by children and scammers. Like iPhones, almost all of them on Listia now are scams ... so we can swap our cheap stuff, build up some credits, and get our next phone on Listia ... that's how I see it working.

PLUS if we convert our credits, and continue to earn more INK, we will have something of real $$$ value, unlike credits. INK will be bought and sold on the open market, it won't be used just here on LIstia. We won't HAVE to spend it on Listia ... and I think it could go up in value a lot at the beginning because SO many people are interested in it.

Either way I think it will be a good thing for Listia. This site has become very stale and the constant scams scare new good people away.

I use the Telegram messaging app that Lilstia is using for INK chat. It's mostly for investors but they will answer my questions regarding Listia.

I have asked Listia to do something about the scam sellers (and children, and foreign porn peddlers, etc). MAYBE because INK will be a "real" currency it will keep some of those types AWAY from here ... far far away.

I think the price of gift cards might come down as the INK conversion gets closer (Feb 28) because so many people are listing gift cards. Me included.

I have a neat little trick you might want to try. Once you get a few watchers on your listing, lower the GIN price a little. All of those watchers will get a notification that you've lowered the price. Someone MIGHT pull the trigger ... if not, lower the price again later or the next day.

I'm doing that and having fun with it!
