FREE: The Gothic Tarot -Joseph Vargo

This is a complete 78 card tarot deck in like new condition, with a few very minor exceptions as follows:
-The box has worn corners and a few dings (see last photo)
-The Star and the 6 of Wands both have minor imperfections at the top edge. (see next to last photo)
-The cards are not as stiff as most brand new decks.

Includes the LWB, art card, box and deck.

These HAVE been read, years ago.

Here's the story of this deck. I had another copy of this same deck given to me a long time ago, as my second ever deck. I loved using this deck, it was dark and beautifully illustrated. Then, a flood in my apartment destroyed it... After several months of using the deck I had stored elsewhere, I decided I wanted this one again. So, I purchased a new copy, the one I'm auctioning now. Instead of feeling like an old friend, it felt foreign and clumsy to me. I've heard that a good deck must be a gift, and not purchased. This was the one that made me think there might be something to that. I neatly packed it away in the trunk that holds all of my dried herbs and extra crystals, along with a few other decks that I collected as gifts. It has a faint smell of lavender and something else floral from being stored with the herbs.

I have not yet found anyone I felt would enjoy this particular deck in my own life. It's illustrations are very dark, mostly blue and black with red highlights (with some exceptions, such as the green devil shown above). The illustrations are beautiful, but often (not always) detract from tradition, but I was never one to hold tradition above "what works" so it didn't bother me.

I'd love this to find the hands of someone who could really work well with it, it really is a great deck. I thought about picking it up again after these many years, but I think that the darkness suited me much better when I was younger.
