I am giving away an HP Photosmart E427 Digital Camera that works perfectly. It is 6.0 Megapixels, and it has 5x digital zoom & it does video with sound. It works perfectly, although the case is a little bit scratched up. It takes two AA batteries, and I will include them with this auction. It only works on batteries (there is no power cable). Also, it only works with Windows XP, Vista, or Mac OS X. It is NOT compatible with Windows 7 (see pic 20).

IMO, it takes nice pictures, although it doesn't seem to take good picture up close (or, maybe I'm just not taking the pictures correctly). The 16th pic was taken outside at 6.0 MP setting. The 17th pic of the flowers was taken inside with flash at 4.0 MP setting (NOT with the 6.0 MP setting). The 18th & 19th pics were taken with the macro setting at 6.0 MP (they are of my computer keyboard, and they didn't turn out so well). I only made pics 16-19 smaller (I didn't edited them any other way). You can change the megapixel setting. Honestly, I just tinkered around with the camera (I didn't read the manual), so its settings are pretty easy to figure out.

Your computer will require a driver to be downloaded in order to be able to read the pictures off of the camera. But, the driver should be downloaded and installed automatically from hp.com (the driver is free) because the camera is Plug-N-Play. When I attached the camera to my Windows XP computer that was connected to the internet, the camera just automatically started working (I didn't have to manually download the driver).

Questions & Comments

If the memory card is removable, that WILL work with windows 7. Just don't do the cable to connect thing.

Good point! Yes, you are right. If you remove the memory card and if you have an SD card reader built into your computer (or an external card reader connected to your computer), then you will be able to pull the pictures off of your card and store them onto your computer. You don't have to connect the camera directly to your computer to be able to get the pictures from the card. Thanks for pointing that out!

It actually comes with 2 GB memory card already installed and working (I bought the memory card just for this camera). But, it takes an SD memory card. Thanks for asking! :)

Does it have any wear and tear on the screen?

Good question! All of the pixels work perfectly on the screen. There are a couple of extremely small scratches that are not noticeable when the screen is turned on or off (I had to tilt the camera in fluorescent light and look at the reflection of the light on the screen to see the scratches, if that makes sense). I can take a picture of the screen focusing on a white piece of paper with my other camera if you want me to, just to show you that all of the pixels are intact. Yes, I ship quickly. This will go out in the mail tomorrow (since today is Sunday). If you live near Colorado, you should receive it in a day or two. If you live on the East coast, it should arrive within 5 or 6 days (at the latest). I will send it first class, which is as fast as Priority. Hope this helps.
