I have the same problem. I've got to price everything to cover at LEAST the shipping ... I hear ya.

I am HOPING that we can buy shipping labels from paypal using INK ... that's what I do now, purchase all my shipping through paypal. It's easy and slightly discounted and always includes tracking.

I am REALLY REALLY hoping we can simply spend INK to pay for shipping. Without the draconian fees Listia charges now for their "shipping" funciton (which I never use).

Don't give up on Listia after INK ... I HIGHLY recommend you stick it out and see what happens. I believe LIstia will still be a fun place to buy and sell and that INK, being worth real $$$, will allow sellers to manage those crazy shipping costs!

You and I have different ideas about Listia. I'm thinking of leaving because of INK and you feel it's a good thing. You feel the shipping is cheaper through listia and I feel it cost even more. I'm going to quit in the end of March, because it's just way to expensive to ship my items and buy packaging.

I agree with you Marian! Shipping costs way too much. I have recommended to Listia to set some of their "goals" without free shipping to encourage people to get used to paying on occasion, and to recognize the costs involved in listing here! We all (including me as a buyer) like free shipping but its really difficult to break even. I also love to list great items here. Like you, i always focus on the best quality and unique items, but people don't recognize such value. Groups of listian raise prices on their buddies auctions... well, i have so much to add here but this year, i'm seriously going to have a garage sale and donate the rest ... Although i like the opportunity to play with cryptocurrencies without spending a fortune, it's a bubble waiting to burst and may become more addictive than good old style listia was :) INK will support 'power sellers' and the last of the listians who still offer good deal will simply disappear :(

I'm not to sure about INK, but I know that sales have dropped already. I'm not getting any fair prices on items. I won't continue to sell here if I have to pay all shipping and make no credits. I don't have a business, and everything I put up I buy. I love going to antique shops for items, and antiques also cost. I also just love to keep busy, and Listia keeps my mind off the family problems. I hoping I won't have to quit. Thanks for commenting and Have a wonderful day! :D

It will change ListIa for sure. I'm hoping we will have some method to pay for shipping with ink. That would be a very big plus for sellers. I know we WILL be able to cash out ink but the process might be too costly for small $$$ amounts. So it will probably work better to cash out say $100 or more at a time and put it in the bank to pay for shipping.

I think INK will make Listia a MUCH better place to buy and sell high-value stuff like newer iPhones. NOW almost all of them are scams ... because no one in their right mid would sell a popular $700 item for credits, but INK will bring us a LOT of serious new sellers (and will encourage old sellers) who can trade on LIstia with confidence.

Look at it this way:
Keep using Listia as a fun place to swap and buy/sell stuff. SAVE those credits (Ink) and when you need a new phone (or TV, or refrigerator, etc) you can use your INK to win or buy from a trusted seller. Just like on ebay ...

Part of the 'Ink Protocol" is to create a meaningful feedback system ... and let people who have a good reputation on Listia USE their feedback on other selling sites. Which means professional sellers from OTHER sites can come to Listia and immediately use their excellent reputation to be successful here (and give us reliable sellers to buy from).

I doubt I'll be using INK. I just do this as a hobby for gifts for the kids. I usually lose out because of the shipping. As you know the shipping isn't free to us sellers LOL. Many of my items have cost me over $10.00 or more. I'm really good at finding deals tho, so I make out. When I have extra credits I buy stamps for the shipping cost. I just sent out three packages yours and two other and it ran me $27.00 not even heavy items either. I hope your right about the buyers tho, because I usually put up new items. I watch for sales then list them here. I also love to go to antique. shops and buy because my buyers are so happy when they get them. Have a great day! :D
