The listing, Exploding Kittens: A Card Game - One of the Most Wished for Games on Amazon - New has ended.
This is for one new Exploding Kittens card game: "A Card Game About Kittens and Explosions and Sometimes Goats." It started as a Kickstarter project and became the number 1 funded project of all time. I think it's supposed to mock the internet's obsession with cute cats and baby goats.
The game has been available since July 2015, but is still a favorite and a top ten most wished for game on Amazon. Free US shipping direct from the retailer.
Watch a video about how to play the game here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAkRKuv5Rts. Here's a bunch of guys who I think are game testers, playing the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhsgYhUDA_M&t=459s.
* Exploding Kittens is a card game for people who are into kittens and explosions and laser beams and sometimes goats.
* Family-friendly, party game for 2-5 players (up to 9 players when combined with any other deck).
* This is the most-backed project in Kickstarter history and all cards feature illustrations by The Oatmeal.
* Includes 56 cards (2.5 x 3.5 inches), box, and instructions.
* This box, like 99.99% of boxes, does not meow.
In this highly-strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette, players draw cards until someone draws an Exploding Kitten, at which point they explode, they are dead, and they are out of the game -- unless that player has a Defuse card, which can defuse the Kitten using things like laser pointers, belly rubs, and catnip sandwiches. All of the other cards in the deck are used to move, mitigate, or avoid the Exploding Kittens.
Created by Elan Lee (Xbox, ARGs), Matthew Inman (The Oatmeal), and Shane Small (Xbox, Marvel), Exploding Kittens is the most-backed Kickstarter project ever, and the most-funded game in Kickstarter history.
