Does work but needs work on it. As you can see in the photos the top plate of the iPod is missing. It can still be put on hold, just slide the switch. It also had a damaged LCD screen.
Again, this works the LCD screen is just broken, you can not see anything... but you can hear your music. (kinda like a shuffle ;) free shipping

For Tember: this ipod has flash memory, your classic has a hardrive. So you cant use this ipods flash memory on your ipod. Even if you could, this ipod has 8 gigs or less(i think, not sure), and im pretty sure your classic has way more than 8 gigs. And about the battery, i think your ipod might have a higher voltage battery cus of the power needed to spin the hardrive, but not sure.
