Description

The listing, Pocket watch has ended.

I found this watch several years ago when moving into my new home. I do not know anything about it just that theres no scratches or any damage of any sort to the watch. The watch does need a new battery. The chain thats connected to it is in excellent condition and doesnt have any tarnish or marks on it.... Any questions welcomed and as always free shipping

Hi Crystal! In answer to your question about quartz without getting too technical, it is the natural element/mineral (silicon dioxide ) that takes the electrical charge from the battery and vibrates a WHOLE Bunch to keep time. Usually now, it is synthetic or man-made instead of natural (and very thin), as these have better, more consistent properties. And "quartz" lets one know that it is not "mechanically" operated: no springs or winding, etc. Nice watch!!!
