The problem with most generators is that they can't run your furnace unless they can handle the initial surge. If you have a HUGE generator that might not be a problem. But you probably need to turn of all the other power in the house until you get your furnace running (after the initial surge the load goes down).

We are getting ready to replace our 17-year-old heat pump with a couple of mini splits that we CAN run off a smallish generator even for AC ... which is important here. We can actually heat our house without the furnace but AC has an even higher surge, and is more important in this part of the country!

I grew up in Massachusetts from 7th grade through college, so I know what you are talking about! My mother lived in Worcester until she died in 1983.

➜ To go the other way ... XXX INK times 3,850 = credits.

TRUST ME I also am struggling with converting my listings to INK ... I am taking my time and going slow. I will post TWO listings tonight ... one in INK and one that will still be in credits because I scheduled it (don't even ask, it's crazy but I'm gonna let it go ... it's the ONLY listing I had scheduled).

INK is worth 14 cents on LIstia ... so pricing your listings realistically is important also. XX INK times .14 (POINT 14) gives you dollars. In PUBLIC Ink (XNK) is trading at 9-10 cents. BUT that is not a realistic value because the ONLY exchange available is charging highway robbery for ETH ... so just use the 14 cent value for INK ... I think that will work very well on Listia!

My house, which is built like a battalion ... is shaking. Winds here are sustained 50 mph.

Our high tide is in about an hour but the level is low ... tonight's high tide will be worse. The tide is so low here that all the whitecaps are muddy ... LOL ... those big waves are scraping up the marsh mud at the bottom of the Chesapeake Bay!

I can watch them from my desk ... it is crazy fun to watch!

Listen to me. Forget ETH ... just think of INK in dollars.

I have a little trick to reveal. Listia's valuation of $1=27,500 credits was completely arbitrary. Most people used gift-card prices to price items on Listia for both buying and selling. Which means the REAL-WORLD value of credits was closer to $1 = 100,000 to 130,000 credits, NOT 27,500.

THIS means Listia members who saved and converted credits got a GREAT deal for converting INK ... I hope people realize that. No one on Listia really paid 14 cents for ink. IF YOU saved up credits and CONVERTED them, you got INK for

So even with XNK trading at 9-10 cents on the exchanges, we here on Listia are in the PROFIT column.

NOW, on LIstia, people will be using 14 cents, or possibly the exchange value (currently 9-10 cents) for pricing, both buying and selling. But if you BUY a listing priced at either 10 or 14 cents, keep in mind you only PAID 5-7 cents for YOUR ink (converted from credits).

Try to save some INK ... I think the value will go up over time. Try to make more of it also ... here on LIstia.

This week presale buyers are DUMPING because most of them also paid less than 14 cents. For those people, XNK at 9-10 cents is a profit. But that pool of "cheap ink" is limited. I DO believe the value of ink will go up as soon as that feeding frenzy ends.

I think it is an EXCELLENT sign that in the last two days, XNK has stayed as high as 9-10 cents and in some moments has been higher. INK has value. People want it. Yesterday Listia announced a new partnership for mediation technology. You can see that on Telegram. This sends a signal to investors that the Listia/INK team is SERIOUS about implementing far-reaching buying/selling tools with INK ...

It's going to be bad. Not only for homes and businesses near the coast, all that salt water is going to get into things like the subway systems. I'm watching the weather channel. The high tide in long island is about now (8 am) but the NEXT high tide tonight is what they are worried about.

So first you have to set a $$$ value for credits. It would be easier to do that in Ink. 1 million / 3,850 gives you the amount of ink you have. Ink is trading at the moment at 9 to 10 cents. On Listia it is 14 cents.

Right now 1eth is $861. ETH has been staying pretty steady between $850 and $880. Try to ignore the short term spikes. It's actually been very stable IMO. So I'd pick $870 for any calculations.

But why? If you want to know the value of ETH at any moment just look on coin base or any other tracker. If you are trying to figure out Ink values its best to use the exchange trading price which has been 9 to 10 cents pretty steady since Wednesday. I think it is easier to compare in USD than ETH.

Most indexes show ETH or BTC values but I'm using an app called bituniverse that shows XNK in dollars. You don't have to sign up for anything to see the ink value with that app.

Yup this storm is gonna be bad for the New York to New England coast. I am on the Chesapeake bay and it's blowing 50 here. We have about three foot waves hitting the beach. Normally on the Chesapeake we don't have waves. ☺️

We have a park and beach in front of our house. During the January blizzard piles of sand were sitting on top of all of the snowdrifts. That is crazy wind. My daughter flies in tomorrow from Florida. It is supposed to be okay in Baltimore by then but continued big winds here further east.
