The listing, Vintage Indian Head buffalo nickel cut coin earrings and necklace has ended.

This is for a vintage Indian Head buffalo nickel cut coin sterling silver pendant and earrings. I did a little bit of research not really familiar on this belong to my parents at one time just sitting in my jewelry box. Not hundred percent sure of the year closest thing I found that looks exactly like it is a 1919 Indian Head buffalo bison nickel cut coin. There is no date on cut coin.. the chain on the necklace is 10 inches, as shown in the picture above the chain itself is very strong and sturdy and is discolored a little. This is for the necklace and earrings as a set if anyone has any more input on this auction please feel free to do so thank you and happy bidding

Questions & Comments

These are not silver they are nickel and copper. The only time the U.S. had a "silver" nickel is 1942 to 1945 ( these are easy to spot as they have a large mint mark above Monticello on the reverse.) and they were only 35% . Sterling silver has to be .925 % or better to be called sterling.

Thank you for the information on this. The earrings we're still on the original earring holder and it said sterling silver so I thought they were I guess I could take them to a jewelry shop to see what they are for sure but thank you so much for input
