Old Antique Doll - original shoes and clothing!

Exact age unknown but my best guess would be 50s or early 60s from my memory of Dolls when I was a small child, but that’s just me guessing, I really don’t know the age as there are no markings anywhere that I can see.

Body is clean, made of cloth, arms, legs and head are a soft rubber material.

Dress shows age but is intact without tears far as I can tell, small tear in the bonnet and some yellowing from age to the material, but really is in excellent condition for an antique doll.

Eyes open and shut freely!

I have several antique dolls I had thought to pass on to my granddaughters but none of them have any interest in them, so time for some of them to go, the dolls I mean, gonna keep all my granddaughters haha :)

To my knowledge Betsey Wetsey or Tiny Tears did not have a cloth body.It is all vinyl. I have a 1959 Betsy Wetsey and she is vinyl.I got the ideal book and it says that Ideal is stamped very small on the neck. She looks like Betsey Wetsey in the face. Can you look at teh back of her neck with a magnifying glass? You might need to do it to see the marking.

I’ll take another good look but I know for sure she isn’t a tiny tears or Betsy wetsy, because you had to feed those dolls a bottle of water and this one does not take a bottle.

I have a Ideal Doll too, that one is Shirley Temple. She belonged to my mom when she was a child. But shes in bad shape.

I saw no markings anywhere. I believe she has a voice box as well but it no longer works - she would have cried Mama when you tilted her.

That is true. With a cotton Body you could give hera bottle of water. MY Tiny Tears I goe when I was 4 years old and she took bottles and wet her diaper.
