okay....so, is .925 sterling silver .75 what, nickle? please enlighten me, like you already have about pre 1965 coins being 90% silver & 10% copper! thanks so much for the info! sheri in lake tahoe :-)
They are 9.00 silver Usually called coin silver. imagine the 10% copper is for durability. so the coins will last longer in circulation,as most pure silver coins are not usually put into circulation. They are more for the collectors i think. Pure silver coin rings will scratch and get gouged up alot quicker and like to warp when being made. not saying i cant make pure silver coin rings. just that i dont like too since they usually end up in scrap pile b4 finishing. still i will if someone is willing to pay for the extra time. anonymouscoinrings@gmail.com
thank you so much for explaining all that. i still would like to know if sterling silver is .925 ~ what is the other .75 metal that is used? it you answer this, i PROMISE i wont bother you...........for awhile! jk thanks, again you are VERY talented and know your trade!!! fondly, sheri in lake tahoe :-)
