just wondering if there is away to have the inside as you do with your rings somehow become the outside of the ring,as it is very decorative and down right interesting and a conversation piece could be spawned.I have worn a silverdollar bracelet made by a Native American prisoner for 30 years everyday and I will till the day I die as this jewelry becomes part of you because of the older silvers purity and healing effects.Other peoples opinions on what you choose to do with your life should never even be considered especially when one is artistic and creative...

If you check online like youtube for coin rings you can find the double sided ones. i can make them but they require little to no talent to create in my own opinion. will be posting one of them soon but was just my practice one,and is made out of a reg 2002 lousiana quarter.

I remember that old ring trick from when i was a kid 50 years ago! it takes many, many hours to make the date turn in on a silver quarter, but a silver morgan must take 4 times as long to get the date to turn in!!!! and tapping it with a 100% silver spoon is the way it's done!!!! ever notice sometimes you find silver spoons that are really dented & worn out, this is why!!!! usually older guys like me, would make one with a birth date silver coin, they are soooo cool!!!!!!!!

Actually soldiers stole reg. Spoons from mess halls originally. Not that matters spoon is nearly for getting the smooth round shape. Hammering makes them fast and flat.if you look around on the net that's all you will find.

Wow! I don't see how you can get them so smooth and shiny with a spoon. You must be a very patient person. I'd love to have one of these to wear on my thumb perhaps a coin from 1954, 25, 34, or 37 as all of these dates are important to me. (loved ones birth dates) Such a rare talent you have!! Your prices are very reasonable for so much work and an original piece!! Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us!! Hope to be able to get one soon!!! If I didn't say so before, Welcome to Listia!!!!!!! Already your fan!!!!!

There si filing involved but all my tools consist of stuff you should have around your house. Tools i use are 1 double sided ax head for anvil..Fits on lap. 1medium round file.use it as a handle as seen on facebook pics.1 small half round file Final shaping and cleaning up center ring. 1 ladys 5 stage fingernail file. for final cleanup and polishing. And most importantly 1Tablespoon fir shrinking and 1 teaspoon for shaping. I can take personal orders at anonymouscoinrings@gmail.com prices are listed above and different coins can be used. just go by price that matches the size coin you are interested in. Stainless coins not included in prices and will cost more as it is such a hard metal to work with. they do make for a clean ring when finished tho.

My dad taught me how to make these, back in the day all the kids in his neighborhood would make them using spoons and a pocket knife. That was like in the 1940s. I've made a bunch and it takes a while. First one took me over 9 hours. I made tools and a machine that now let me make various coin rings in just minutes. So I can verify the fact that it takes forever to make these the old fashion way. Good luck.

I appreciate the time and patience it takes to make a piece like this. It is also very unique. I am very patriotic and I like the fact that these are made of coins. Just do what you love. You can't please everyone all the time.

All my rings Are the 90% silver. they are all pre 1965. Unless u specify you want something different. have even done a stainless italian coin for a customer. Talk about a pain in the butt try shing a stainless coin with a stainless spoon. Went through 3 spoons on that one. yes these rings are 100% spoon hammered. do your research im pretty sure no onw is offering the silver dollars and the half dollar ones you will find will be flat and shapeless. mine are truley spoon rounded edges and no short cuts..not to mention i hand polish all the rings after there finishe.plus i antique the inside b4 there finished also. look around and find a better quality smooth outside coin ring.

This one is a Morgan Half Dollar. There coin rings so common sence would tell you there 90% silver. uncerculated pure coins will warp before you can pound them down to smaller sizes. Even with annehiling. Am working on that problem though. so far i have made it to about a size 14 Pure siver Dollar ring but then it warped beyond repair and it went to my scrap silver pile. The Copper is what really helps make these coins shapable. ./
