The listing, Teach Yourself to Rug Braid! has ended.

This is such a great craft! And its environmentally friendly too!

You can make some great pieces not just rugs, using fabric remnants and I've even used yarn scraps too! The hardest part is sewing the 'braids' together into your desired shape.

I have collected some tips, patterns and instructions over the years. I will email the winner all the stuff I've collected which is about 20 pages or so.
Upon close of auction, the winner will provide me a valid email address and I will email all I have to the winner promptly!

What does "Sewing the braids together mean" And like Lindakaraoke asked "Do you need a sewing machine? I have one but dont know anything about this. Is it easy or difficult?

Like I said... the craft is pretty easy. Its all hand work. Hand sewn - I dont think I would even attempt using a sewing machine.

wow cool! I ended up teaching myself to quilt this past winter with scraps I'd saved from jeans! Its so rewarding to do these kinds of things from treasured saved scraps!

Can you use stretchy material such as t shirts or only cottons?

you know, you could but I find you wont be as happy with the results. Least I wasnt. You almost need to stick to the cottons. Something that has some stiffness more or less.
