if you see any sellers saying these are silver & they had them verified as silver, they are crooks & should be reported to listia because the date half crowns & most other issues of british money stopped using silver was 1947 including shillings & sixpence, ask your local pawn shop!! if you got one of these coins (like the one i have here) & the seller represented it as being silver, try to sell it at a pawn shop & you will find out it's not silver!!!
anyway, it's still a nice coin!!!
