Thank you MadisonBrooks for all the info and yes it is confusing its going to take a little time but I am sure we will catch on. Thank you for taking your time to explaining this to me that was very kind of you. :)
OHHHHHH!!!! Now that makes sense!!! Listia went around & around giving broken bits of info but never actually explaining the conversion process! Now at least I'll know how to price my items! I was just about to leave Listia altogether like so many others!
Thank you, I’m not sure but I can check with my local “things remembered” store & ask. The other side of the heart is blank so may be possible. I’ll get back to you this week :-)
Hi, we are all adjusting to the new XNK program. the starting bid is not in cash value of $19.99... it's XNK (so the easiest way I found out how to convert to money is that it's 7 XNK for every $1.00).
I tried to explain as best I can.. sorry, I'm still learning alot about this XNK but there's so much reading material on it everywhere.. it's alot to absorb lol Good luck if you bid, I do include bonus items with all GINS's too. Please feel free to ask any questions, I'll help as best I can
@mercy88 "I'm not real sure how XNK works so does it mean starting bid is $19.99 so its money now"
No, 19.99 XNK is not equivalent to $19.99 USD. 1 XNK=$.14 USD so in this example: 19.99 XNK = $2.80. XNK is the new value exchange system that is replacing Listia's current credit system is causing quite a stir because it is so confusing and overwhelming. And in my opinion, Listia, quite frankly does a very poor job of explaining it.
If you're familiar with Bitcoin it follows that same ideology. Basically instead of using credits to buy items on Listia, buyers will be using XNK, which TRANSLATES to USD however is not equal to USD. The value of XNK currency changes according to the market at that time. Thus $1 USD is constant, that is, the value will never change. $1 USD will have the same value today as it will tomorrow. With XNK however, the value will change depending on the market at that time, a stock market-like format if you will. Right now 1 XNK is equivalent to $.14 USD. But tomorrow it may change to $.17 USD.
And if that weren't confusing enough, Listia members have the fun task of converting credits to XNK.
Here's the process of conversion that you may find helpful:
3,850 = 1 XNK 1 XNK = $.14 USD (this will change with the market)
The step of converting Listia credits to XNK tokens to US Dollars is a 3-step process. And then just when you think you understand, you're hit with the daunting realization that $.14 USD will change depending on whatever the market is at that time. Hope this helps!
