everything is going digital. my whole area is on the apco 25 system. these analog scanners are being phased out. they're still good for the race track though!

i have one of these and most stations are out now do to everything is on triple trunking frequencies

Hi! I'm not sure what triple trunking is I know that some PD & Fire Dept's are changing to a new frequencies. this is good for a lot of different uses it came in handy in the bad weather we had the other night! it can also pick up air, ham.and other dept's like public works from your local city and county. not all areas are digital and not all communications are digital just because a area goes digital there is still a lot of analog transmissions traveling through the air waves such as ham weather news stations busses and trains and aircraft and so on this is a nice scanner and would make someone a good listening tool nice auction

Thanks, Thats right there are a lot of companies that still use MHz frequencies and will for a long time I know it cost a lot to go digital and a lot of places can't afford to change including local citys and countys. Thanks again! Fanned you!

this scanner comes with a 800MHz Antenna thats why I thought it was a 800MHz scanner, I don't much about these scanners thats why I said you need to check the owners manual on the web page that I gave above. Thanks for the infor!
