Questions & Comments
If you have a bunch of these beads you are getting rid of you might want to try listing them in small groups, like I do. I think you'd get more action. Plus, it would REALLY help to offer free shipping, which is three stamps for anything under 8 ounces (you can ship quite a few of these beads for that). By offering things in groups with free shipping, you get more bids but don't have to ship so many individual items.
Thats great to know. i do also sell them personally and i do some craft fairs so i don't have that many of each one cause i don't buy big lots-just many 5 at a time. just feelin the water as they say right now.but with your advice many i will! thanks again!.
Trust me, free shipping is the way to go with small items like this. That's how I get so many credits for my stuff. Sine I have a lot of multiple buyers, I still only spend $20-$30 a week on shipping (selling about 25 items a week). I also end all of my auctions on Sunday and Monday nights, and ship on Tuesdays so I can combine any multiple winners.
I know it seems crazy to give stuff away AND pay to ship it, but when you get a lot more credits you make up for the shipping costs by winning more valuable items. So far I've won two computers, a Tivo, three expensive Ipods (30-80 gigs), a brand new $300 cell phone, and lots of expensive jewelry ... well worth the money I'm spending on shipping!
I bought my Pandora beads in bulk from Hong Kong, on ebay. Free shipping even, it's amazing (China is just sucking in American $$, which is kinda scary actually). But some of the beads are even sterling, although not advertised as such. I even got one with the Pandora mark on it.
I buy most on ebay(china!) and some from a bead store near me that has some good buys! but you can't trust their markings i think they stamp things that aren't real!
So, I'm speculating that they make Pandora brand beads but put the imperfect ones in with their bulk lots. I bought them for my kids, sorted out the colors I didn't think they'd be interested in, and am taking them with me to our second home, where we plan to spend the summer.
I've got three nieces, two daughters who will have friends visiting, and my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. So, I have a TON of beads and once they decide what they want to keep, I'll probably put the remainder on Listia too. Not sure how many will be left over!
