Thank you for your interest , yes it is a Boulder Opal * , I have some agate rings , thier colors are more varietys & defined striping , I promise it is what I say :) pinky sware is the best I can do from here :) , it is a very pretty ring , photos never do jewelry justice :9( ..... I am adding A photo of Black boulder opals which are found in Australia , the black ones , the white part of the stone is translucent in appearance like an opal is
