The listing, Apollo 11 moon landing embroidered patch has ended.

Vintage embroidered sew-on patch for the Apollo 11 space mission of 1969 in which Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, Jr landed on the moon.

I'm not sure how old this patch is -- it belonged to a friend and was in a box of his old comics -- he was in second grade during this landing, so it probably was from around the early 1970s.

Patch is in great shape and never used. The colors have faded a tiny bit and if you hold it to your nose it has a mild musty smell, but otherwise it's great.

Measures 4 inches in diameter.

I remember, even though I was only 6 -- the patch itself I think was probably from 1970 or 71 -- I mean this was a consumer patch as opposed to the actual one wore by Armstrong or Aldrin!

Here where I live in California near Edwards AFB we have a park named for this. Apollo Park. It used to even have the pod that landed in the ocean after the mission back to earth. Very cool item.
