As far as devices go, it doesn't get much simpler than this. this is simply a silver USB hub that allows you to connect up to four devices into one USB port. It's worked fine for me on a variety of situations for Vista, XP, and even my Xbox 360.

The cord coming out of this is short -- about 1 1/2 feet long. It's powered by the USB port itself, which means it will not support USB 2.0 data transfer speeds. Therefore, I wouldn't suggest using this for USB HDDs. But for mice, controllers, or other devices that use low data transfer rates, this will work just fine.
