This is a used laptop. The screen does NOT turn on, the computer turns on but needs a new screen. Other than that is works. This comes with the charger. I will ship this for free. This item is perfect for someone that is good with computers and knows how to fix them or use it for parts, or even just to have for the charger. If you have any questions please ask. Does the POST/BIOS message come up on the screen? Does the screen work when powering on the laptop, but then stops after the OS has begun loading?

This laptop is notorious for the nvdea video chip going out. That actually takes the motherboard with it. I hope that is not the case with this laptop because a "reflow" has to be done in which case you have to take the entire laptop apart for. I have done this to a couple of these. I hope that whomever you had look at it hooked the laptop up to an external monitor and verified that you get video from the laptop. I am not trying to act like a "know it all" or hurt your bids, but I just hope this goes to a computer tech

thats y it is listed as is because i am not 100% sure what exactly is wrong with it, u haer it boot up like it always did no screen and i never tried to get a screen to work

you can hook it up to a regular monitor and get your stuff off of it just hook the monitor up to the back of it.

oh thats a great deal. There is some stuff of mine on the computer that i was not able to get off because then the screen went black but easy to remove.

its a compac, it is installed with windows 7, i will look in the morning for the model nunmber. The screen just went black one day, I did have someone look at it they said if the screen is replaced it will work perfectly the way it was before. I would have gotten it fixed but by the time I had somebody look at it I had already bought a new laptop.
