Description

The listing, Vintage Bejeweled Animal Jewelry Boxes has ended.

Up for auction are a couple of bejeweled trinket or jewelry boxes I've had for a while. These are quality items but ... please read the following descriptions very carefully.

The Shark - Very heavy metal! Measures 5 inches long, 2 3/4 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches tall. The lower section is held shut by a small powerful magnet. Missing a few jewels on the side fins. There's some missing paint too.

The Pig - Believed to be handcrafted from genuine brass. (It's heavier that the shark.) Measures 3" long, 1 1/2" wide, and 1 1/2 tall. Shows great detail. Like the shark, the pig has a few missing jewels and missing paint spots.

The Bad: They both have condition issues that decrease the value. These items usually retail around $25.00 per item. Maker unknown.

The Good: Magnetic closures hold boxes securely closed. They opens on a hinge and have an inset magnetic closure to keep the trinket box shut. The hand painted satin like interior is in great condition (see picture #4). Both still show great details and both are solid and appears to be well made.
