No, it just slips over your wrist like all the other rubbery bracelets. It will not fall off a small wrist and still fits a larger wrist.

I don't know if it really does or not. I have one that I have been wearing for a week or so and I THINK it has helped me a little with balance. I guess a person could only try it for themsevles. It may be all in the mind - who knows?
