No,they are confined in seed pods.

Hi,not really,they produce "seed pods" and they are encased,however,they can split apart on the ground,but it's not likely.Hope this helps.

You can plant them in pots,you will need something for them to climb on though,like a trellis,or set the pot next to a fence.
