Pumpkin on a Stick is a fascinating plant. It gets its name from its appearance but it is really an eggplant. Small flowers will begin to develop from the main stem in midsummer. Each eggplant ripens to a deep, red-orange color. The stem is purple with large, green leaves. Very easy to grow! Plant near a walk, patio, or high trafic area so you can enjoy your visitors comments.
Garden tip: Plants will likely require staking, as the fruit devlops.
Annual, plant depth 1/2", thin 24" to 36" sun/Partial shade, height up to 4', germination 11 to 14 days, sow after danger of frost, blooms midsummer. When fruit dries can be used in decorations.
