Really nice Franklin, but 44444? And no collector would melt it down. Shouldn't touch any silver coin with your bare fingers? Oils in your skin will begin to start tarnishing. Just sayin' and it's 90% silver ...not solid. Nice though.

note to the complainers about the GIN price no one is holding a gun to your head to hit gin this is an auction therefore all you have to do is bid no gin and usually the ones who complain only complain because it must be something they want really bad and don't want to wait so don't let your impatience eat you up and be negative to people just bid if you want it hang out have fun live a litlle life and come back when it gets closer and i have seen little dinky silver rings go for more than this gin price so i aint sweatin it LOL

Can't imagine melting such a lovely piece. I handle all my coins and bullion with gloves but that is my choice. I often show my Griffen pieces from TheFates and caution those who want to hold it to grasp it by the edges. Right now it is your coin and you can hold it any which way you choose! I really hope to win it...so there!

i wish people would just calm down about this, i am not a collector and i had no idea about any of this and as i stated i have not handled it like this since the first of the 5 million people told me not to and i also took it to be treated from my hand oils and what was weird they used an oil to clean whatever my hands left on it so please calm down lol if you have no interest in it then please just dont bid if my handling it the 1 time bothers you this much i am not a dumm i promise, i learned from the first of the 5 million complaining that this wasnt the right way to hold it and havent since i dont know what else to say but if it wasnt already bid on i would pull it because i am just tired of all the commotion about it, i am not a collector i didnt know AND I THINK EVERYONE KNOWS WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES NO ONE IS FREE FROM THAT!!!

I sincerely apologize. I was not being at all critical. I was pointing out to the complainers that we all have the right to do as we choose with our own coins. I agree that there has been a lot of comotion but not rightfully so. I sincerely wish to win it, regardless of how you held it. I think the complainers need to back off and not worry about it. As you have stated, if they don't want it they should not bid or complain about it.

Shafer is the one beer to have when you only have a half dollar to spend! Do they still sell that in NY? My 18th birthday, 1968, the bartender counted 21 bottles. Good thing I lived right acros the street!

That is so strange :) Back then it was a premium beer. It was actually spelled Schaefer, and at that time legal drining age in NY was 18. In mid 70's I was a roadee for a country-western band and we played all over Rochester.
