Here is a 1926-D Buffalo nickel graded VF-30 scratched, 2/3 Horn, Weak Strike. The scratch is a minor scratch across the top of the front shoulder of Buffalo on the reverse side of the coin barley visible to the naked eye. The strike is strong enough you can read the date mainly with the naked eye.
This coin is valued in "The Official Red Book of United States Coins" for an VF-20 at $110 and for a EF-40 $185 so in my opinion it being a VF-30 scratched I called a fair $125 value for this particular coin. The mintage is a low 5,638,000 and being graded really increases the value of the coin.
