The listing, Handmade- Newborn Knitted Collection, Blanket, Hat, Sweater, Booties, White, New has ended.

This was made by my 90 year old friend a little over a year ago in anticipation of the great niece she was about to have. Shortly after finishing this, my friend fell and broke her ankle, and this gorgeous set of blanket(36"x32"), Hat, Beautiful Sweater, and Booties were too small for her great niece, by the time my friend left the rest home. So they are now going to the Listian community, as she has no more great nieces anticipated!! The yarn is white with a slight dash of shimmery white thread. I tried to show that in one of the photos, don't know if you can see it. It is very beautifully made with three buttons on the sweater and fluffy ball drawstrings to make sure one size fits all. This is a piece that I should try to E-Bay, but I thought that maybe our community of Listians will appreciate it more!! Thank you and good bidding. Though I can't afford it, the shipping is on me. I am so happy,. For days the bisds have been at 200, and I won't even look now because I am afraid it will break my heart. The red FREE SHIPPING label is a credit magnet, but this one is going to cost me. I thought about doing sn E-Bay, but thought it would be interesting to try the Listian way( sounds like Sar Trek!!). I love getting rid of my ols stufff in exchange for new stuff, and though I have been taken advantage of, people like youu keep my faith alicve!!! IT I A GORGEOUS ET!!!The 90 year old lady who mafde it designed and sold clothes for years and had her own label, she wan't huge,, just did what shwe could do, but she is a fashion animal and this little set shows her whimsical and thoughtful designs. I can'believe my Sixties classic 3 CD set is going for 4040 right now, and this piece, which, to me, seems SO much more valuable, isn't as popular. Is this a sign of my getting older? Gorgeous set! If my girl hadn't grown up already I'd have put some credits into this set. She's 10 now so no way will it work out, lol. All my nieces are just a bit too grown as well with the youngest niece almost 2, just about made it though. I love the set, absolutely love it!! I'd have to buy credits to win it though and with no one special in mind to give it to, I can't afford it. I make jewelry and I know how much time can go into one piece, be it crocheted or beaded. I used to trade my bead work for crochet work and did get a nice pink and white sweater for my daughter when she was 6 mos. I still have it and will probably never get rid of it. She'll have to have a baby girl to get it from me, hehe. Anyway, I've fanned you and will watch for new auctions. I noticed quite a few men's shirts listed, but they are too small for my husband and a bit too big for my son. I'll drop by every few days to see if something else catches my eye. Thanks for sharing this set, it is a great reminder of a different day in time.

This set reminds us of how the world used to be, before everyone got in such a hurry that they would not take the time to make these beautiful, thoughtful gifts. I would have to charge you that. I am a very fair personn, and eat a lot of shipping charges to low bids, but it depends how much it is. I won't charge you more than $5.00, let's put it that way. It may be less than that for all I know, but for the hundred(s) of hours that went into making this beautiful piece, $5.00 is a small price. So, to ship to Canada, the buyer is responsible for up to $5.00, the rest I will pay. If it is less than that, I will charge less. This weighs a bit, because the blanket annd sweater dress are heavy, but the most yu will pay is $5.00, umless it id less. I just can't eat too much syhipping. I try to be a prompt and generous buyer and seller. YOU WILL LOVE THIS SET...it is well worth $5.00, if it costs even that!!! I have no idea, have never shippied to Canada. I am so bummed that this set does not have more bids. I thought this set would bring the house doen, wu=ith all the love and time put in. At the same time a 3 CD sixties Classic CD set ghas 2020 credits. It makes no sense. I was hoping to trade this set for a garnet necklace for the lady who made it...might have to be fake garnet!! lol, you are the kind of person that makes Listia fun. I almost gave up over the weekend over two rings that were fake and problems ensued. I was furious sent them back, one lady said she didn't get it despite the tracking, I hit a few scammers in a row and started to think maybe Listis was not for me, then along come great people like you to cheer me up and give us support faith that there are many great people in the world, and here on Lista!! This was made by one of the most wonderful women in the world at 88. Shortly after she broke her ankle, and nobody thought she would make it out of the rest home. BUT, she is home, and walking great, but no longer crocheting. She has done so many beautiful pieces. The sweater dress is ADORABLE, and the little bit of white shimmery thread makes it very stylish and elegant for 'da baby girl!! Thank you, I'm so happy you're interested.
