The listing, 1984 Steve Garvey World Series Patch has ended.

Great piece of baseball history. The list of All Stars on the back is worth the whole piece...Cal Ripken, Jr., Dave Winfield, Fernando Valenzuela, Pete Rose, Ozzie Smith, Goose Gossage, etc.,etc.. Bought at auction, donated by San Diego Sportscaster and family friend, "Coach" John Kentera. My photography does not do it justice. The patches has never been out of it's original plastic cover, but in the photo it looks creased, that is just the plastic!! There were so many classic players on the All-Star roster that year and they are all on the back of this patches' paper. Very cool piece of baseball history with names everyone will recognize!!

Thank you, there is just the box of about 25 left. I bought that box at auction, my friend was a sportscaster and they gave his radio station a box in 1984, so I got them in 1998, but never knew what to do with them till Listia came along!!

1984 and 1998 were the two times my Padres went to the World Series. I was there for both. I worked for the father and uncle of San Diego's pre-eminent sportscaster, "Coach"John Kentera, he is just a brilliant play by play professional. Well, he offered a small box of these patches for an Fubraiser Auction that was being held at the Elks Lodge. I wanted to buy somthing to contribute, so as I ewas a baseball "nut" at the time, I bid $80.00 for them. It was agreat cause. Thanks for commenting. They have been in their little box for years, and i didn't know what to do with them, along came Listiam, the rest is history!!! Thanks for commenting, Michelle Amieux

Great rare sports memprabilia for any sports fan. These patches that I bought in auction are the last of these patches to exist. The year the Padres abnd Steve Garvey went to the World Series!!!
