This 30" necklace is made by hand from 4mm hematite beads, and European charm beads. I used a silver plated lobster clasp and jump ring for the closure because they provide the ease of use and visual appeal that I always look for in jewelry. I also used nylon coated cable wire because it is very strong. I also used crimp covers on the ends to give it a nice finished look. Hematite symbolizes courage, and was known in the Middle Ages as "blood stone".
