This anise mint is a perennial plant that will spread (like most mints spread). It produces small mauve flowers mid to late summer, but this plant is predominantly grown for its fragrance, which is very much like liquorice. The foliage smells divine, and can be used in many culinary dishes. I'm particularly fond of using this with cucumber in a refreshing summer sorbet.

I promise you the plant is live when I dig it up. The photo is from the parent plant in my herb garden (where it is spreading nicely). I know this will grow, and I will ship it promptly and package it carefully, but I do not guarantee that if you leave it in the box for a week and do not tend to it that it will still be alive. Please play fair.

This is the LAST ONE I can offer with free shipping. They cost between $3 and $6 to send, and I simply can't afford to keep spending that; thanks for understanding.

Thanks. It's a really cool plant. I love it in things in the summer, for its minty licorice flavor adds an interesting taste to sorbets and salads, plus it is really pretty!

This is a perennial for me. I'm in zone 5 and this is the third year it has come back. Remember though that this is grown mostly for its aromatic leaves, not its flowers. More information can be found here: http://www.alchemy-works.com/agastache_foeniculum.html

All plants have wortcunning properties. This can be used as a culinary herb or a magickal one. The school where I teach metaphysics has a great wortcunning and herb department if your interested!

what size is the plants that are to be shipped? Also, how well will they do as a potted plant?

I ship a root ball. The plant is about 14 - 18 inches tall when I harvest it and then I trim it back to the first leaves. I don't know how well it would do as a potted plant. I have never tried to grow it this way. More information on cultivation can be found here: http://www.weekendgardener.net/drying-herbs/growing.licorice.mint.htm
