A family friend loved playing with it and she's 12. And my daughter loved it when she got it at 4 years old. Not sure of the exact age range they suggest, but I think it's a pretty broad range.

My daughter hasn't had it for 8 years. She's had it for about a year. I was just saying that there's a 12 year old girl that comes over every once and awhile and she plays with it. lol. I can see how that comment was a bit misleading. But no, this is only about a year old. The batteries work great. It takes 2 AA.
