From what I can gather from searching the item it is similar to the ones that you are searched with a various events. Depending on the brand name if the range is any good.

How far away does it detech.... i mean do you have to be crawling on the ground for it to detech or can you stand and walk and get a reading.....f w

I "fan"ned and "watching".... o k, ed, i'm originally from up the road.... in paulsboro..... and i can still talk "joisey" my new friend.... what's the description of this little gadget ?.... is it for very short range, like to find your keys if ya' dropped 'em.... what is the range from that short antenna to sensing some kinda metal ???.... wow ! you really got some people's curiosity 'bout this one !.... bob in texas of our usa.... almost reported to work at dupont's as a new employee on a monday, but.... they had a big explosion on sunday back in about 1971 ?.... you know, at the powder plant where ya checked your zippo lighters at the gate before you could enter....

Its a pin pointer! Come on! I have a whites pin pointer, and its great for using to pin down where the metal detetor itself says the item is in the section of! works great if your digging and using it to see if you accidently tossed out the item you were digging for or if its still in there!
