This little lady is one of my "Potted Mum" collection. She's sitting in a tiny terracotta glazed flower pot with "Potted Mum" on the front. her little dress is from the Lowell Collection in a miniature print of tiny red flowers with a red ribbon for that 'cross your heart' look. tiny ivy leaves sit in front of her (leaves are Not sculpted) Her little lace collar and cuffs are antique lace. She is one of the few of the ladies who wears No jewelry. It's a 'personal' thing. She seems to be singing at the top of her little lungs, with her little rouged lips pursed and her closed eyes.
Her hair is ready for the day in a tiny braided bun (mohair)
Wouldn't these be a great gift for that Secret Sister, Christmas, Mother's day, Thanksgiving table, Any time gift!? They're Truly a one-of-a-kind.

Let me introduce a line of sculpting that I’ve done for years. My ‘Little People’ and other odd and random figures that comes to my head. They’re hand sculpted, not with molds for the most part. Armatures are anything from wire to wood. It just depends on what’s on hand and what my mood is.
The “little people’ are little old people. I used to people watch the elder people to get their wrinkles and creases, now…I just look in the mirror, ..sigh. But, they’re all decked out and heavily embellished with their role in life comes out to be. I’ve done everything from “Potted Mums” to clergy, to judges, ironmongers, you name it. They’re usually not bigger than 6-8 inches and I use vintage accessories as in lace, buttons, etc. They’re not meant to be ‘pretty’, just sweet and the look of crude wood carving.
It's just a Lot more fun. Go check my other hand sculpted items. They were featured in the Kansas City Star Arts supplement and invited to join in the Crown Center Fine Arts Festival in Kansas City. They all had a good time and found their new homes at the show.
