This very collectible tax token is from 1935 in Washington State. Value was meant for purchases under ten cents, individually the value for one was 1/5 of a cent! Made of aluminum during the Great Depression. Kind of a cool personal story-a family member, elder gentleman told me at my home looking at the tokens I own he remembers owning these and it was popular at the time to stack them on the string of your hoodie. So they could easily take them off and on for purchases they used on the sales tax amount (tax token- makes sense), and it was cool to wear them on your clothinh. He thought that's why they have a hole in them. He admitted he had saved none but wished he did in life collect coins and tokens this brought back memories.
