This is a nice size handbag, 12 x 8 x 5. It has lovely tapestry print and three zippered sections with cloth lining.

Smoke free home.

There are reddish stains on the bottom of the middle section that should come out with stain remover. I believe it is blush. (Please note picture)

Is this big enough to hold school books & such?

It depends on the size of the textbook. With it being 12 inches across that would not be a problem, but it is 5 inches width, so you would have to measure your books. Normal text books would be about the size along with a spiral notebook.
