A lot of vintage perfume nips in glass small tubes. I don't know what they smell like. Still contains fluid in each one.Different colors for different scents???
These belonged to my grandmothher and she has been gone since the 60's.
The plastic container has one hinge broken but will package safely for shipping.
I do hope someone will love these and try them.
Questions & Comments
LOL! the website that I found said that if they were all in tact and in their booklets, tins or whatever they came in at the time, they could be worth some money. But other sites are selling these for either.10 cents or around 4-5 dollars for about 6 of them. ( I just noticed that there isn't a "cent" sign on our keyboards, dollar sign, but no "cent" sign! ) things that make you go hmmmm! LOL! have a great sunday miss Nancy, and your very welcome! Have a blessed day!! =0)
ROFL!! What is money?? I know I'm totally enjoying Listia and all the great people on here..That's you Dawn726!! You know I looked for a cent sign and your right, not one in sight on the keyboard! What's up with that anyway? heh heh.
Enjoyment is great people like you! Lista is my all time favorite for happiness and meeting great people!
F&W. LOVE LOVE LOVE>>>>>SO wish I would have enough credits to win these. When I was a lil one my grandmama also had these however she never wore them or anything to "BE PRETTY", she always said "GOD MADE US PRETTY ENOUGN ALL ON OUR OWN". When she passed away the family feel apart and the grandkids werent allowed to have anything that belonged to her, oh I would love these just to remind me of her! OH GOOD MEMORIES (*_*)
Oh I'm so sorry to hear you weren't allowed to have anything of your grandmama..I'm glad you have many happy memories of her. I too wish you had credits to bid but you have fond memories and that's just as great!!
My Grandmother was religious but it didn''t stop her from enjoying life to the fullest. She was fun, happy and a joy in our lives. I still miss her so very much! In her later years she branched out into adventure and truly living.
Wow! It didn't take me long to find out! I have a whole list of color codes for which perfume is in what color of nip. From what the website says, they color coded the ends of the nips to match the booklet they originally came in, so you knew what kind of perfume you had. If someone wants to know, just message me, I will send it to you. too much to put here. Good luck ladies! Whoever wins, let me know, I will send you the list so you will know too! Happy Bidding! =0)
I haven't seen these for years either! wow! My grandfather had brought some perfume in little vials like these for my grandma he had bought in France during world war II. I wonder if we could google it and see if we can find out if the fragrances are color coded? I'm sure we could find it on our "world wide data base" somewhere, someone would surely know something about them. I would love to have these, but unfortunately, by the time the auction is over, I won't have enough credits. But I will do some research for you and see what I can find out. Maybe I can find out the scents for each color. Fanned you Miss Nancy! You are a sweet lady! =0)
Fanned you right back Dawn726! It's wonderful that you remember these also.. Your awesome to find out the color codes for the various scents and offer to send the list to the winner! Bless you so much for this kindness!!
I remember my Grandmother using these and allowing me to sneak a few and get pretty..lol..Bet I drove her crazy playing with all the goodies..
Fanned you back pamscreative! Vintage is a slice of gone but not forgotten generations and so meaningful! Just viewing some items can trigger thoughts and fond memories of those times. I think I'm a romantic at heart..lol. Thank you so very much for fanning and watching!!
I remember these as a kid. The conundrum is that once you open them, that's it... and of couse we want to open them!! It's like a box of chocolates sitting there. LOL! Great auction!
