Up for auction is a Booths Silicon China Mini Plate in the "Lowestoft Border" with crazing all over it. If you are not familiar with the term "crazing", take a look at the pics of the back of the plate especially. You can see the tiny hairline fissures or cracks in the fired glazed surface. Crazing generally happens when a piece ages, but can be caused by changes in temp or humidity or being bumped around a lot. Whether or not it affects the value of the piece is a personal choice.
