The listing, 2 Vintage Barnum and Bailey Circus Posters rare and in great shape has ended.

These are two very cool posters that measure 24" by 16.5" and they appear to be in really good condition. I only see a couple very tiny tears on the edges but they would barely be noticeable especially if they were framed. I am pretty sure they are prints but I have no idea what year they were made. The paper seems to have some age to it so please check all pictures. I am selling them as a set because I think collections should stay together when possible. Please ask lots of questions and I will do my best to answer them. Thanks

I grew up near Bridgeport Connecticut where the P.T. Barnum Museum is and if you ever get the chance there is nothing like it. Its in the home he grew up in so there are rooms and rooms off oddities including mummies and so much more--is very much worth the trip! My parents have a picture of PT Barnum as a baby sitting in the Housatonic River in an old oval ornate frame with the bubble type of glass covering it-or bowed glass-I don't know what it's called but it's like an oval clear glass bowl. I guess you'd call it bowed glass. But very nice. My fathers family had a vaudville show and a radio show later on and his dad used to go to the dump and find amazing treasures back in the 20's etc. Best to you!

They are both reproductions. The clown print is from 1971 a reproduction of the original from 1917. The leaping tiger print was reproduced in 1976 the original of this was made in 1901. Both posters if they were original would be 80x136. Ihave collected original posters for many years and actually have an original leaping tiger framed from1901. the reproductions like this still sell for about $40.00 each. F&W

I really couldn't say for sure because I don't know, they don't have a year so I'm unsure. They look old but are definitely printed and not hand painted if that makes a difference

Very neat! My Grandmother was an aerialist and Granddaughter of Henry, in the Gentry Bros. circus, she was amazing and loved all things circus related! I would love to add these to the rest of the circus memorabilia she left for me! Watching and bidding!
