The yellow spongie is made from acrylic yarn and can be used the same as any store purchased sponge. The other multi-colored spongie is made from 100% cotton yarn. Both are soft, absorbant and easily washed and dried in the washing machine. They can also be popped in the microwave for a minute or two to kill germs. They measure approximately 4 1/2 by 4 1/2. They clean up as well or better than a store sponge. They will last longer and not flake off like store sponges. Remember these are made from scrap yarn, so they are funny colored, but who cares, they still clean pots, pans, dishes and counters like any sponge would and in my opinion better. .

You CANNOT use these spongies at a hot pad as the heat from the pan will melt the spongie.
