Description

The listing, *AWESOME* 3 NIP toggle clasps with SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS! has ended.

This auction is for 3 unopened packages of toggle clasps. They have Swarovski Crystals on the toggle clasp. There are two sets per package. The package also includes beading wire, spacer beads and crimp beads. One set is pink hearts, one set is a purple or tanzanite color heart sets, and one is a round set with peridot accent crystals. All of these have never been opened. They do have a price sticker removed that I had put on them for my shop. The price was marked 4.99.

Try taking your items out of the "jewelry making" subcategory and put them in beading. That's where I list all my stuff. The "jewelry making" and other newer subcategories don't get as many browsers. This can help a lot.

My other suggestion is to improve your photos. Use photo editing software to crop in the photos so you can show the "prettiest" part of the item (like the actual clasps) very closeup. People can't really see what they are bidding on.

These are nice little kits, I'm surprised more people aren't bidding on them, but perhaps in the beading category and with better photos you'll do better. The photos are really important.

I use HP Photosmart photo software. It's a free download. It's a bit of a POA to learn to use, but once you do it's quite easy and lets you crop, adjust color if needed, brighten and increase contrast, etc. Use the BEST closeup photo for your FIRST photo, so it grabs people's attention when they are browsing the listings.

Also, take your photos with no flash, but either in bright sunshine (but not with a lot of shadows) or with a small desk lamp using a daylight color bulb, such as Reveal brand. This will give you better colors. I use a piece of white paper folded so the background of the photo is white also.

Also, if you've ever used these or similar clasps to make something, take a photo of that jewelry showing how the clasp looks on the bracelet or necklace. It really helps people visualize the size and other details of how the item will look when made into jewelry.

Hope all that helps!

Oh yes, they look a whole lot better. Good luck! Since you still have no bids, you could end the listing and relist it easily. Here's how to do it. Edit the auction, and change it to a 3-day listing. It will end automatically, then go to your "ended without a winner" listings and just relist it. Or, buy the perk that lets you extend listings to up to 21 days and change it so you have more time.

Another thought is to combine some of your clasp listings and do a GIN for 2,000 credits or more. This costs you 10 percent of the credits if someone buys them GIN, but I sell MOST of my items GIN. I think people like being able to buy immediately instead of tracking an auction and trying to bid on it at the end. But it works better if your listing includes enough items to make it worthwhile.

For example, I consider 2,000 credits to be equal to about $3, 3,000 credits worth $4-$5, because that's what you'd pay to win a gift card on Listia. So, in my listings I always compare my GIN price to that dollar value. I don't know what these clasps cost to buy, but if they cost $1 or more per set, offering say five clasps for the equivalent of $3 with free shipping is a good deal. But you have to explain that to bidders. My guess is that these clasps, with Swarovski crystals, cost more than $1. So, explain to bidders that they are getting good value for their credits, and why.

Look at my listings and you'll see what I mean.

Also, if you have multiple listings for clasps, be sure to promote that in your description ... "please check my other listings for more gorgeous Swarovski clasps!" Always cross promote. That's why I include so many photos in my listings, I'm hoping people will want to check my other listings for things they see in the photos. But I try to remember to be VERY CLEAR that the bidder will win what is in the FIRST photos. People are easily confused on Listia and most of them never read even the title ... LOL. They can't get their credits refunded if they thought they were winning something other than what you explain in your listing, but it's still a pain in the buddinsky when someone wants their credits back, particularly if you've already shipped it.
