The Story of Little Black Sambo 1927. Books measures approx. 6 x 7 1/4. This is an old book. There are some markings on a few pages and they are all pictured above. There are black drawings and colored drawings. The colored drawings are beautiful. This book is out of print. One of my childhood favorites. Shipping is free if in US.

I used to love this book as well. I have read much about this story and the various editions. As the story itself is public domain,many versions are out there and because of the ethnic overtones (African and East Indian) and the sensitiveity around them.... they are exceptionally rare and most older ones (like this one) are out of print. This is highly collectable.Unfortunetly for me, it has already gone out of my credit pricerange. I wish you the best on this auction and all future ones, whether you are lister or bidder.......

Yes indeed!! Great Memories! We have all searched through our old books trying to find this one in particular, as both my brother and sister enjoyed it as well. However, we have been unable to locate it. My mom never threw anything away so we think we must have either lost it ourselves or let someone borrow it and just don't remember.

I don't know what happened to the book mom read to us either. I found this one in an old crappy junk shop. There was one little skinny and high bookcase and I just happened to take down what was on top ...and there it was! I re-read it and now have it memorized again.
