Several years ago, I traveled to EGYPT. What a trip!The best time I had was in the Cairo bazaar. The original spice market we've all heard about. I bought several of these SCARABS. I was told they were turquoise, but I have my doubts. Really, I don't think so. I think it is just a carved, painted stone. DOESN'T MATTER! It's a REAL SCARAB from EGYPT. I carried it all the way back from the land of the Pharaohs.
It is strung on a thin black leather strand which is adjustable from choker size up to 26 inches. The white bead is a cat's eye. The back is carved.
This is a nice piece, sure to draw attention.
