I don't have any lilac bushes but want to "steal" some when I see them all along the road....the honeysuckle and jasmine are in full bloom, also...just heady, walking down the road....
I love jasmine & honeysuckle..take some lilacs, after cutting stems under water pound ends until mushy then fill vase with ice water..they last so mush longer & it is good for them to be cut from bush..i can smell the jasmine now.......
I would need someone else to cut them, both hands are basically useless due to a combination of trigger finger (the worst-I've already had half a dozen fingers fixed surgically) and arthritis in thumb, of other hand, of course...make for an interesting pickup of 25 lb. babies...

Yeah, we have bouts of dryness and downpours of rain, so everything is growing wild especially the weeds. My pistachio tree did not survive the winter - going to see if i could still revive it
