Created with kids' hearts in mind! Inspired by the tremendous amount of morning glory-moon flower seed mixtures I've shared with the kids in my urban neighborhood recently... I created this papier-mâché flower pot with colorable images (I suggest using markers) with the idea in mind for a child to color the images and either use the pot as a gift or use it to plant their own seeds for the experience of gardening!
Either way, children will have great fun with this! It reminds me of when I would take my son to paint ceramics; he treasures those creations, especially since he can now see how his artistry has advanced.
Also, this pot is 100% biodegradable, so if it is placed outside, it will eventually become 'WORM POOP' as I call dirt & compost (LOL)... IF you want to prevent that from happening, all you need to do is apply a coating to the inside & outside... preferably something earth-and-animal-friendly. ;)
Likewise, instead of coating the inside, you could set a plastic planter within, making sure that there is also something between the papier-mâché pot & the plastic one to catch excess water... or... DO BOTH!
