Contact Simplicity here on the internet and make sure you have the copy write registered on this before someone steals the idea. I have a friend who has sold quilt patterns to McCalls. fanning and bidding.
i took apart kelly dresses before mostly torn/disinigreated ones to make fabric patterns for her but this is so cool and so much easier! how cool it looks like 6 diffrent dresses..is there drawings or pictures of the final products? what a neat idea.. and i would copywrite it as well before you send it out mail yourself a copy with the copywrite mark on it and your signature/date in a self addressed envelope and when it arrives you have the validated date/copy and can defend it in court as your idea on at least that date..also save the drawings and early drafts/ designs/pictures with approxinate dates if you dont have actual ones to document its progression as your work.. intellectual property crime is so sad and so rampant..protect yourself!
A notorized copy of the pattern works better now days than the 'mailing' the pattern to yourself. Simply make a photo copy, take a friend with you, sign the paper and have it notorized. Your local bank will usually do this service for free if you have an account with them. Then contact the pattern companies here on the internet. They will inform you as to how to submit your patterns for publication. They will inform you of any legalities you need to do. But, get the patterns notarized and keep the copy in your safe. You could make $50. or $500. for the pattern. My friend made quite a bit because of the 'quilting craze' at the time. So, best of luck
