JUST IN TIME FOR FATHERS DAY!!!!!!

You are bidding on a Benrus Pocket Watch, still in original packaging. It does have the chain but still latched into the box.

This is a beautiful gold and silver tone, in perfect running condition. Any father or stepfather would be proud to own this!

yes, I have indeed. It was originally The House of Thunder, started by Jason Thunder in the 1900's. Due to bad management a grandson (I think) brought it to a screeching halt. In the late 1990's they reappeared on the scene and acquired a Swiss watchmaking firm, now known for quality and fashion. In March someone had one on here, a beautiful filigree pocket watch I drooled over, but not enough points for me to bid! It only went for about 9,000 but it was lovely. Hang on to yours by all means!!!.

Well, not quite identical, they are different colors, mine being much more handsome of course! And I do offer free shipping to boot, so which would I bid on? MINE MINE, pick me! Not to mention all the nice people in here, and personally I'm just a sweetheart, so hang out with us instead! Mine is also an actual Benrus, not just a quartz movement watch = generic. But I'm sure the quality of theirs is just fine or they wouldn't have it on auction here, I never mind a little healthy competition. lol

Hi PayPaul, good question! Hadn't thought of that. I am assuming it is battery operated since it's faily new. It's still connected with a zip tie to the box, so I can't see a battery compartment. But that thing was still ticking along and keeping time after being stored for months, so I will have to go with the battery! Cause I sure haven't WOUND it! lol Thanks for watching!

I know pocket watches were a necessity for men on the railroad to time the trains. But few could afford them. Pocket watches are just such a classy thing, even if now, they just get put in a display case. Your dad is a very lucky man to have a daughter like you.
