Description

The listing, VINTAGE Marantz Model 110 AM/FM Tuner has ended.

Here is a Marantz Model 110 AM/FM Tuner that was in working condition when it has placed in storage over 10 years ago. The inside is very dusty with a few cob webs here in there and for this reason I did not plug it in to see if it still functions and there for the Tuner is being auction off AS IS for parts/repair. I would suggest collector geek tech look it over and give it a good cleaning before any attempts be made in turning it on! Depending on where the tuner is to be shipped, the shipping charges will be calculated after the auction and the winning bidder will be responsible for the actual shipping charges..
dog is not included :)
It is approx 25 lbs...for it's size depending on your zip it would be UPS ground approx. $45, or USPS partial post approx. $30 ....thank you :)
This is a Vintage!........once repaired, it's value is more than shipping costs!

As long as the unit is dry, you can plug it in to see if it powers on...that will not do any harm even if the inside is dusty. And you mentioned that you don't have time to restore it...what needs to be restored?

It's only worth the GIN of 77,777 if it powers on.

It is worth alot more than that 60000 credits is worth only $40, do the math....i did not say it doesn't power up. i just don't like plugging something in with cobwebs. it was working before storage. heated storage that is....

thank you...and wouldn't you say if some collector of tube amps would pay for the shipping (it is heavy!) to get this vintage item....as well if they really wanted it they would pay the lucky seven's I attached to it on gin...would they not?

Wow! I had one of these back in the early 80's. The gyro tuner was the latest and greatest at the time and gave you precision tuning. Was a really nice unit.

This is a very nice item, and though it 'looks' horrible it could be brought back to life. I used to restore these old Marantz units many years ago, and whoever wins this needs to know that you CAN fix that aluminum faceplate (and likely remove the minor dust pitting) as long as you use a GENTLE polish. Weiman Metal Polish works splendidly on the old Marantz and other aluminum faced pieces from the era, but I'm sure other polish brands of the same ilk would work as well. The only no-no is anything that will eat the lettering off - like Brasso. (Might just as well try cleaning it with fingernail polish remover!)

Great listing. I wish I had the time (and energy) required to restore another one. They truly are worth it.
