its a 2nd edition ps2
you can tell because of the color of the inside of the disc inserter and the whole top isnt shiny
if you get a 3rd edition you never have to switch memory cards plus there is a better graphic card

I had the slim silver when it was "limited edition"
Thought i was special till sony decided to make them mass marketed = (

Nifty little systems though that was like 5-6 years ago and though I have upgraded to PS3 my lil sister still plays my slim silver and it's still running like a dream.
